A Letter from the President

Even as a child decorating was my passion, I remember spending my weekends in “the zone” constantly decorating then redecorating my bedroom and experimenting with unique ideas or different layouts. I decorated because I loved it, I loved the planning, the moving and the staging but most of all I loved the feeling that I got the very first time I walked back into the room. The excitement, the awe and the pride in knowing that I created it!

I think that is why I created decorateITonline: I want everyone to experience that feeling of awe, excitement and pride when they walk into their room. And after many years of serving the local public I came to realize that hiring a decorator, the appointments, the back and forth, the tiny samples, the exaggerated hand gestures, the subjective descriptions, and….well you get the point; it is an inefficient and often costly process with lots of opportunity for miscommunication and misunderstandings.

So, one fateful day in the shower an idea came to me: Professional Online Interior Decorating Consultations. I quickly searched for other companies that were offering this service, and, after discovering a few, I determined that there was still room for improvement, and I set to work. After thousands of hours of creating and refining, and refining, and then refining again, decorateITonline came to life with the goal of creating a personalized, fixed-price decorating service that is more comprehensive than anything else available today.
